NBA Star with a $90 million dollar contract drives a 1997 Chevy Tahoe
Kawhi Leonard, a USA All-Star who plays for the San Antonio Spurs, signed a $90 million dollar contract in 2015. He spends his summers in a two bedroom apartment in San Diego and often drives a 1997 Chevy Tahoe that has a Kelly Blue Book value of $1,152 dollars. If this All-Star signed a contract for an outstanding amount of money then why is he driving such a low style car compared to what all of the other athletes drive today. Maybe he wants to save his money, or maybe he just loves to play the game of basketball and doesn't care about all of the flashy items most celebrities/athletes accustomed themselves to. As being one of the best young basketball players in the world, Leonard says that his personal finance spending has caught a huge amount of conversation recently. As Leonard reported to ESPN recently, his Tahoe is paid off in full. I am sure that Kawhi has a bunch of personal values in his life but he is the type of professional athlete to not flaunt what he has and to keep being an outstanding basketball player, and that is what makes him such a great player.

MADNESS
Even though this blog post does not necessarily focus on the NBA itself, this post is dealing with basketball just not quite on the NBA level yet. The time has come. March is, in my opinion, the best month for basketball all year. The reason being ... March Madness. For those who do not know what March Madness is it is the college basketball championship tournament that all college basketball players live for. The tournament consists of 64 college basketball teams with 4 main areas of the bracket depending on what division the team is in. The 4 areas are the West, Midwest, South, and the East with each having a #1 seed in each division. This year for the 2016 NCAA tournament the 4 #1 seeds are the Kansas University Jay hawks, North Carolina Tar Heels, Oregon University, and Virginia University. The top 4 teams, for the very first game of the tournament, play the top 4 worst teams being the 16 seeds. All 4 16 seeded teams had to play a "play-in" game in order to be in the NCAA tournament. The reason for that is because all of the 16 seeded teams are not D1 schools therefore they to not play the big teams that are in the tournament every year. The Kansas Jay Hawks are the projected team to win it this year according to ESPN sports analyst's. In my opinion the Duke Blue Devils (Duke University) will win every single game including the NCAA championship game because they are the best college hoop team to ever exist!
