All-Star Weekend has always been a very big event throughout the history of the NBA. All-Star weekend is a weekend mixed with skilled activities for the selected All-Stars that are picked by the fans of those NBA players. It is mixed with the 3 point shooting contest, the dunk contest, and the skills competition, following the actual NBA All-Star game the next day. This year in the 2016 NBA All-Star game Zach Levine and Aaron Gordon went head to head for the title for the dunk contest. After the regular rounds after the other opponents were defeated it was just down to them two players. Zach Levine and Aaron Gordon dunk for dunk after both getting 50's (the highest score possible) on their dunks. Aaron Gordon had an under the legs dunk which got top play on Sports Center, but Zach Levine took the win after jumping from the foul line and putting the ball between his legs for a massive slam and by doing so he won the 2016 dunk contest.

February 17th, 1963 is the day that Micheal Jeffrey Jordan was born in Brooklyn, New York. For those people who do not know who Micheal Jordan is, he was a professional baseball player for the Chicago White Sox, and was an American former professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls. Currently at the age of 53 he is a business man , owner of the Jordan shoe brand that is at its most popular time period, and the owner and chairman of NBA team the Charlotte Hornets."By acclimation Micheal Jordan is the best basketball player of all time," Known from as the initials "M.J."Micheal Jordan's outstanding accomplishments regarding the NBA include: being a 6-time NBA champion  along with being the MVP during all 6 championships, 5-time NBA MVP, 32,292 points (4th all-time), 14-time NBA All-Star, and 9-time All-Defensive 1st Team. No player ever has yet to even come close to achieving more accomplishments then Micheal Jordan. Happy Birthday to the G.O.A.T (Greatest of all time), and salute to Micheal Jordan!

My Topic

The topic that I decided to go with is NBA News. I chose this topic because in general I have always been a big sports fan. The two main sports that became my favorite over time are basketball and baseball. Preferably basketball to play and watch, and baseball just to watch. Hoops became my favorite sport in general because it is the funnest for me to play as well watching the pros on T.V. I chose NBA News as my topic because the NBA is such a fascinating sport to follow and report on because there is always something new happening, someone new getting traded, or some event that all the celebrities attend for pure fun. NBA News will cover everything from player's statistics from the games that they most recently played along with the scores of any important games, any injures that happens to players, the trade deadline for the players, firing/hiring of any coaches in the NBA, etc. If you are a basketball fan, especially an NBA fan, then this is the place to find the most relevant factual information about topics that are talked about currently in the NBA.
